Elizabeth Janet Wink Hayden, 85, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 6, 1931 in Daviess Co. to the late Nick and Sue Helen Keller Wink. Janet was a homemaker and member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where she was in the prayer chain. She was a member of the Quilters Guild and quilted for the Amish and many other individuals. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed making all types of crafts. Janet was a wonderful wife, mother of six children, grandmother, and great grandmother, and loved spending time with them all. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Gene Wink, and three sisters, Shirley Galloway, Theresa Morris, and infant Mary Agnes Wink.
Surviving are her husband, Tommy Hayden, four sons, Randy Hayden of Jacksonville, FL, Gary (Denise) Hayden of Hawesville, Tim (Christina) Hayden, of Owensboro, and Wayne Hayden of Princeton, IN, two daughters, Janice (Eddie) Hawkins of Owensboro, and Peggy (Lee) Sisk of Nashville, TN, nine grandchildren, Mike Hagan, Mark Hagan, Matthew Hagan, Justin (Victoria) Hayden, Libby (Weldon) Mauzy, Christopher Meythaler, Andrew Hayden, Johnathan (Nova) Sisk, and Leigh Ann (Christopher) Brooks, two great grandchildren, Atom Zayn Sisk and Xavier Hagan, a sister, Mary Sue Elliott of Philpot, and two brothers, Marvin (Audie) Wink and Nick Wink, all of Philpot.
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 12, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday with prayers at 5:30 P.M. and from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
