Elizabeth Louise English

Elizabeth Louise English, 86, of the Pleasant Ridge Community, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Ohio Co. Hospital in Hartford. She was born in Ohio Co., KY on October 25, 1925 to the late Ira Thomas and Etta Lee Hedden Basham. She and her husband had been the co-owners of the former 231 Grill for 42 years. Elizabeth was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School for 30 years. She also enjoyed sewing and collecting antiques. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Ann English on March 27, 1953, three brothers and five sisters.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Wallace B. English, two sons, Steven Bryant (Rita) English of Utica and John Dwayne (Betty) English of Versailles, KY, eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 20 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 8:30 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
