Elizabeth Maxine Riney Cecil, 84, of Mulligan Road, Owensboro, died Friday, July 04, 2008, at the Carmel Home. She was born January 1, 1924, to the late Guerdon and Mabel Kelly Riney in Daviess County. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. She enjoyed crocheting, entertaining, playing cards and bunco, square dancing, and playing the piano. She especially loved being with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Marion Cecil; her children, Mary Fogle (Clyde) of Owensboro, Bill Cecil (Carol) of Owensboro, David Cecil (Rose Marie) of Owensboro, Alice Biscopink (Jerry) of Cincinnati, OH, Patrick Cecil (Sherry) of Owensboro, Mike Cecil (Tracy) of Owensboro, Janice Taul (John) of Owensboro, Betty Medley of Owensboro; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; five brothers, F.G. Riney of Owensboro, Kelly Riney of Louisville, Hugh Riney of Owensboro, Jim Riney of Orlando, FL, Don Riney of Amelia Island, FL; Four sisters, Dorothy Marie Getchel of Petaluma, CA, Mary Pheobe Ebelhar of Owensboro, Beverly Cambron of Ft. Pierce, FL, and Edith Riney (deceased).

Services will be 12:00 PM Monday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, with burial in St. Alphonsus Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 7:00PM at Glenn Funeral Home, with the Rosary said at 5:00 PM. Visitation Monday will be after 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Carmel Home, %Carmelite Sisters, 2501 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303.
