Elizabeth Creason Carter

July 2, 1929 — March 23, 2001

Mrs. Elizabeth Carter, 71, of Owensboro, died Friday, March 23, 2001 at Bon Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Spencer County, Indiana, Mrs. Carter worked as a private sitter.

She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church, the VFW Women's Auxiliary, and volunteered for the Audobon Area Senior Companions Program.

She is survived by a son, Bill Carter of Owensboro, 4 daughters, Sheila Cooper, Carolyn Sue Hinton and Joan Renee Carman all of Owensboro, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, a brother, Henry Clay Creason of Lewisport and a sister, Patricia Jane Zorn of Louisville.

Funeral services are Monday, March 26, 2001 at 1 P.M. at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:30 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, March 25 and after 9 A.M. on Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Walnut Memorial Baptist Church or the American Lung Association.
