Elinor Duns Rushing

Elinor Duns Rushing, 90, of Owensboro, passed away February 10, 2014 in Lexington, KY. She was born on January 27, 1924, in Lexington, to the late Richard and Ella C. Duns. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church and a past member of The Junior League of Women and The Cotillion Club. Elinor attended school at St. Catherine Academy, graduated from University of Kentucky, and she served as a W.A.V.E. in the United States Navy. She retired from Owensboro Daviess County Hospital where she was Education Coordinator of the Medical Technology program.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Rushing, sister, Berry Burlew and a half-brother, Fred Duns.

Surviving are a son, Clark and his wife Beverly; a daughter, Ann Berry and her husband Rob Raymond; three grandchildren, Connor, Jack, Claire.

Services will be 1PM, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Immaculate Catholic Church, with Father Tony Jones officiating. Visitation will be Friday, 2-7PM with prayers at 6PM and after 11AM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
