Eldon Joseph Brown

Eldon Joe Brown, 67, of 3517 Roundtable Loop, Owensboro, died Tuesday, May 30, 2006, at his home. He was born August 9, 1938 to the late Turner and Helen Stone Brown in Daviess County. He was a Navy Veteran, a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church and was a meat cutter in Sebree and later at Wal-Mart for several years. He enjoyed cooking on the grill and working in the yard.

He was preceded in death by his previous wife, Mary Elizabeth Hester Brown on June 28, 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Bobbi Brown; his son, Ricky Brown and his wife, Carol of Henderson, his daughter, Kathy Stogner and her husband, Lenny of Owensboro, step-daughters, Christy Brown and Angie Payne, both of Owensboro; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Wesley Posey of Booneville, IN; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Yellow Creek Baptist Church, with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 8:30 AM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Military honors will be given at the cemetery by VFW Post 696.
