Elaine Laughrey

Elaine Pulliam Laughrey, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2014. She was born in Georgetown Ohio to the late George and Josephine Britton Pulliam. She was of the Christian faith and a member of Owensboro Christian Church. Elaine was an educator in the truest sense. She taught for many years in Cleveland TN and then went on to teach Christian education. Music played a very important role in Elaine's life. She loved singing, going to concerts, and was a member of the choir at her church. Elaine will be remembered as a big hearted woman who always thought of others first. Most of all she loved her family and the time she spent with them.

Survivors include her loving husband, Gary T. Laughrey, her son; Joseph Laughrey, and a sister Carol Sue Stivers.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Friends of Kentucky Wesleyan College Music.

Services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday June 4, 2014 at Owensboro Christian Church with Pastor Ron Sharp officiating.

Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until 8 pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9:00 am on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
