Elaine Daugherty Hall

Elaine Daugherty Hall, 83, of 2448 Farrier Place, Owensboro, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at her home. She was born May 14, 1924 to the late Calvin and Vivian Clark Daugherty in McLean County. She retired from General Electric after 32 years of service, was a member of Lewis Lane Baptist Church, enjoyed sewing, cross stitching and watching UK basketball. She collected glassware and enjoyed caring for other people. She loved her grandchildren, passionately.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Daugherty in 1941.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William L. Hall; her son, William C. Sonny Hall and his wife, Jacque of Mill Valley, CA; her daughter, Bobbie Ward and her husband, Cliff of Owensboro; two grandchildren, Nicole and Jordan Ward; three brothers, Woody Daugherty and his wife, Faye of Madison, IN, Harold Daugherty of Utica, Milton Daugherty and his wife, Peggy of Knottsville; her sister, Louise Neal of Livermore; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday and after 11:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY 42301.
