Eileen Douglas, born on October 30, 1938, in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away on November 4, 2025, at Calumet Trace Senior Living. Throughout her remarkable life, Eileen was known for her unwavering faith and artistic talents that brought joy to all who knew her.
Eileen was an accomplished singer whose voice graced many choirs throughout her life. Her dedication to music was evident as she was not only a cherished soloist but also played the piano and organ in many churches she attended. Her musical contributions were a testament to her deep spirituality and her desire to uplift those around her through song.
Beyond her musical prowess, Eileen was a skilled seamstress and prolific handcrafter. Rarely idle, she filled her days creating beautiful items that showcased her artistry. Her talent not only fulfilled her own creativity but also met the desires of family and friends who eagerly sought her handcrafted creations. With her dedication, Eileen established her own website to market her crafts, ensuring that her work could reach an even broader audience. Today, her handmade items can be found in homes across her wide circle of friends and family, serving as cherished reminders of the love and skill that went into their creation.
Eileen's journey took her through various places, having lived in Sharon, Pennsylvania, followed by Hollidaysburg, then Florida, and ultimately settling in Kentucky. Each location enriched her life story and allowed her to touch the lives of many through her music and artistry.
As we remember Eileen Douglas, we celebrate not only her extraordinary talent and strong faith but also her generous spirit that left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know her.
Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, Clair and Bernice Miller; sister, Genevieve Baugh; and brother, Robert Miller.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Bob” Douglas; sons, Curtis Douglas (Deb) and Scott Douglas (Kim); grandchildren, Alexandra (Wyatt), Samuel, and Christian; as well as many nieces and nephews.
