Effie H. Culver Garrett

Effie H. Culver Garrett, 75, of 2619 Hillbrooke Parkway, Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Henderson Co., Ky. to the late Fagan & Idell Stanley Culver. She was retired from General Electric Co. after 39 years in Quality Control. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph L. Garrett in May 1998 and a brother, Amiel Culver on February 23, 1968.

Surviving is a stepson, Randy Garrett of Chico, Ca., and a stepdaughter, Rita Brooks of W. Lafayette, In., four sisters, Frances Bradley and Anna C. Weigand, both of Evansville, In., Lois Culver of Jonesville, N. C., and Alma Sue Culver of Owensboro, two brothers, Carl Culver of Kingsport, Tn. and John Culver of Waco, Tx., four step grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews.

Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 8, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
