Edwina R. Nalley

July 17, 1916 — July 4, 2008

It is with great sadness that the family of Edwina Nalley announces her passing on Friday, July 4, 2008, at age 91. She was born July 17, 1916 to the late John and Verna Whitaker Robertson in McLean County. She graduated from Calhoun High School, and blessed all who knew her with her music, playing the piano at Oak Grove Methodist Church for over 70 years, and also at the Roosevelt House and the Carmel Home where she lived. She taught piano lessons for many years and also enjoyed quilting. She loved her church family at Oak Grove and was always grateful for their love in return.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Nalley in 1995.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Roberta (Gerald) Rhodes of Plainfield, IN, and Patti (Jesse) Rhodes of Owensboro; her grandchildren, Mark (Martha) Rhodes of Indianapolis, IN, Terri (Greg) Coke of Utica, Donna (Mark) Gosnell of Keller, TX, and Lori (Wally) Keim of The Woodlands, TX; and her eleven great-grandchildren, Stephanie and Mallory Rhodes, Madeleine and Anna Coke, Jennifer, Samantha and Matthew Gosnell, and Kaley, Tori, Nikki and Jenny Keim.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oak Grove Cemetery Fund, %Terry Walker, 954 Theron-Johnson Road, Calhoun, KY 42327 or the Carmel Home Building Fund, 2501 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY 42303.
