Edward D. "Eddie" McLimore, Sr.

Edward D. “Eddie” McLimore, Sr., 60, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born November 28, 1965 in Daviess County. Eddie had worked at Purity Party Ice and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching horror movies, playing computer games, and working on the farm. He also loved stock racing and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Eddie was preceded in death by his father, Edward Earl McLimore, and siblings Connie McLimore, Jamie Shouse, and Billy McLimore, Sr.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Lorie; children, Rose Holmes , Anthony Holmes (Christina), Whitney McLimore (April), Talitha “T. T. Ree” McLimore (Don), all of Owensboro, and Edward McLimore Jr. of Lewisport; his mother, Margie McLimore of Pleasant Ridge; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Noon Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 PM until 7 PM Thursday and from 10 AM until 11:30 AM Friday at the funeral home.
