Edward Earl Mclimore

Edward Earl McLimore, 76 of Pleasant Ridge has gone home to be with our Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lynn in 1964, and by his parents, William Harold McLimore and Willie Magarite Shelton McLimore. Mr. McLimore retired as owner of McLimore's Store in 1989 after operating it for 25 years. He continued to farm tobacco until 2005 and cared for his rental properties until his last day. There wasn't a person he didn't like. A Christian, he was an active member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and an honest man full of integrity. We his family loved him dearly and will, along with many others, miss him. We love you, Poppy!

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Margie Ann Brey McLimore, his children, Billy Gene McLimore, Eddie McLimore and his wife Lorie, all of Pleasant Ridge, and Jamie Ann McLimore Shouse and her husband Mark of Owensboro; 9 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and 6 step-greatgrandchhildren; and his sister, Betty Spratt and her husband Donald of Owensboro; and his special friend, Princess Ann.

The funeral service for Mr. McLimore will be at 12:00 noon Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
