Edward Clayton Johnson Sr., 73, of Whitesville, passed away August 28, 2016 at home. He was a loving husband, father and thought the world of his grandkids. He worked as a utility contractor for over 30 years, then side-by-side with his love at Little T's Diner for 25 years. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, Eddy and Agnes Johnson; brothers, Mitchell Johnson, George Johnson and Pat Johnson; sister, Thelma Hardin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Teresa Johnson; sons, Clayton Johnson Jr., Kenny Johnson (Rhonda); daughter, Karen Johnson; step-children, Cindy Edge, Richie Vertrees (Kelly), and Deanna Anderson (Jay); 6 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great-grandchildren; brother, Phillip Johnson (Becky); sisters, Edith McKay (Kenny), Dorothy Bartlett, Mildred Payne, Louise Crowe, Linda Coomes (Daniel), Judy Freels (Mark), Debra Johnson; sister-in-laws, Margaret Johnson and Patty Johnson, and host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be Noon, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Wednesday, 3:00-7:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
