Edward G. Jarrett, 64, of 1020 East Byers Ave., Owensboro died Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at Owensboro Mercy Health System. He was born in Kanawha, WV on November 14, 1938 the son of Paul and Dorothy Sheets Jarrett.
Mr. Jarrett retired from Premier Mining after 20 years, and owner of Sport Clics. He was a member of Owensboro Christian Church. He was a fan of both University of Kentucky and Kentucky Wesleyan College basketball. He was a photographer for all county and city ball leagues.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Lois Jarrett; three sons, Brock Jarrett, Scott Jarrett, and Jeff Carrier, all of St. Albans, WV; two daughters, Kelli Sue Brown of Crosslanes, WV and Barbara Jean Brown of Owensboro; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; one brother, Donald Jarrett of Cambridge, OH; two sisters, Carol Jean Carter of Nashville, TN and Mary Lee DeHart of St. Albans, WV.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 10, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Myke Templeton. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Garden. His family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 9, 2003 and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
