Edward Frank Griffith

Edward Frank Griffith, 88, of Owensboro, formerly of Clinton, IA, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 15, 1924 in Clinton and was retired after 34 years from the DuPont Company in Clinton. Mr. Griffith was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II having served in Africa, France, and Germany. He was a member of the AmVets, American Legion, was a Master Mason, and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and U. K. basketball. He preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Cora Aplin Griffith, and two brothers, Frank and Arnold Griffith.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Lois Bahnsen Griffith, his three daughters, Susan (David) Johnson of Crossville, TN, and their children, Jennifer and Michael Johnson, Vickie (David) Tompkins of Napa, CA and their children, Stacey Fridolf, Kari Hefley, and Chelsea Tompkins, and Beth (James) Bullington of Owensboro, and their children, Jeremiah and Joshua Bullington, and three great grandchildren, Kaylee and Cody Fridolf, and Brendan Bullington.

There will be no visitation or services. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
