Edward Leo Crady

May 17, 1931 — August 12, 2014

Edward Leo Crady, 83, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Lebanon Junction, KY, to the late Stoy and Rhea Tatrow Crady, had worked for Barron Homes and served in the Marine Corp. He was active in the Emmaus community, had traveled to Haiti several times with the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, and had volunteered at the Wendell Foster Campus. Ed was a member of Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church for 54 years and sang in the choir. He was also preceded in death by his son, Jeff Crady and his brothers, Walt, Buddy and Bob Crady.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Patsy Crady; daughter, Traci Blakeley and her husband Mike of Waldorf, MD; granddaughters, Erin, Ashley and Whitney Blakeley; great-grandson, Carter Harrigan; sisters; Betty Holt and DeLois Doyle.

Services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday at Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Friday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Old Liberty Cemetery in Lebanon, KY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church.
