Edward Clayton

EDWARD MARTIN CLAYTON, 62, escaped these earthly confines to join his father, mother, and brother on November 3, 2014, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital, Louisville, KY.

He was born September 6, 1952, to the late Robert Herman Clayton and Henrietta Mackin Clayton in Owensboro,
Kentucky. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Randall Herman Clayton.


Survived by his loving brothers and sisters; Terry Clayton (Patsy) of Bowling Green, KY, Betty Clayton, Donna (Larry) Kamuf, Joseph Anthony Clayton, Sharon Rose Clayton all of Owensboro, KY, Judy (Carter) Keith of Indianapolis, IN, Patrick Clayton of Minneapolis, MN, and Michael Clayton of Cincinnati, OH.

Survived by many nieces and nephews.

Also surviving are the loves of his life: son, Christopher Clayton of Nashville, TN, grandson, Jackson Clayton of Nashville, TN, son, TJ (Laura) Clayton, of Louisville, KY, grandchildren Ella, Thomas, and Finnegan of Louisville, KY, brother-in-law Paul "Oz" (Annette) Lynn of Owensboro, KY, adopted daughter, Donna (Eddie) Goodwin of Owensboro, KY, and wife of 30 years Paulette Lynn Clayton.

Known as a loving father, grandfather, and husband, Eddie's love for family was known by all who knew him. Talented with building, renovation, and repairs, an avid fisherman, outdoor enthusiast, love of travel, the most important parts of his life were helping others, his Christianity, and family.

Eddie's corneas were donated to KODA, Kentucky Organ Donor Association.

He graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School in 1970 and retired from Aleris in 2008.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, November at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Fond Remembrances voiced by friends and family will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with prayers at 5:00 p.m.
