Edward J. Bellwood

Edward J. "Joey" Bellwood, 58, of Owensboro, passed away on May 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born in Owensboro to the late Louis and Helen Bellwood.

Joey was a 1971 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School. In 1972 he went to work for the Hon Company. He retired from Hon in 2007 after more than 35 years of service.

He was a longtime member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. Joey loved music, U.K. Basketball, being outdoors, fishing, and swimming at the beach, Paddock and Atlantis Swim Club.

Joey was preceded in death by his wife of 26 years, Carla Kaye Bellwood in 2006, his parents and a sister, Stacy Bellwood.

He is survived by three daughters, Lindsey Blair (Matt), Laurie Cox (Michael) and Jennifer Krauss, all of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Ryne, Luke, Eric, Dylan, and Isaac Blair; Anistyn and Hadlee Cox; sisters, Donna Bellwood of Owensboro and Debbie Koressel (Charlie) of Evansville; brothers, Mike Bellwood (Cindy) of Central City, Kentucky and Rick Bellwood (Suzette) of Reno, Nevada and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be held at Precious Blood Catholic Church on Friday, May 18 at 10:00 AM. Fr. Bruce McCarty will officiate. The visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 until 8:00 PM (Prayers at 6:00 PM) and on Friday from 9:00 AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
