Edward Maxwell "Max" Adams

Edward Maxwell "Max" Adams Jr., 66, of Owensboro, passed away April 7, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital after a brief, but hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born December 31, 1951, in Breckinridge County to Edward Maxwell Sr. and Mary Lou Davis Adams. Max worked in quality control at American Olean Tile for many years. In his younger years, he was an avid deep-sea fisherman and pool player, and later in life developed a passion for UK basketball. Max was preceded in death by his mother as well as his sister, Kathy Cuthbert.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Rita Greenwell Adams; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Adams, of Owensboro; sons, Thomas Edward and Charles Anthony Adams, both of Owensboro; sister, Dr. Melanie Adams, of Winston Salem, NC; uncle, Bob Goldenberg, of Parkersburg, WV; long time best friend, Terry Thompson, of Owensboro; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2PM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10AM to 2PM Monday at the funeral home.
