Edna Regina Jarboe, 68 of Leisure Years Nursing Home, died there Tuesday, July 23, 2002. She was born in Knottsville, Kentucky on November 8, 1933 the daughter of Charles Raymond and Mary Ruby Millay Payne.
She was formerly employed at the Wendell Foster Center in Laundry and as a Food Service Aid. She was a member of Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and she enjoyed country music.
Survivors include four sons, Michael A. Jarboe, Charles Thomas Jarboe and Pete Jarboe all of Owensboro and Robert Jarboe of Henderson; two daughters, Carolyn Dornburg of Owensboro and Amanda Henderson of Cincinnati, OH; two step-sons, Ronald Jarboe of Owensboro and Donald Jarboe of Utica; two step-daughters, Pat Baker of Raymond, NH and Janice Higdon of Bowling Green, KY; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Payne and David Payne both of Owensboro; six sisters, Martha Lyddane of Nashville, TN, Joan Gibson of Henderson, KY, and Rose Whitaker, Linda Farley, Cathy Rohrer and Debbie Crabtree all of Owensboro; and an Aunt, Mickey Payne of Tell City, IN.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2002 at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, officiated by Father Brian Roby. Burial will follow in Saint William Cemetery in Knottsville, KY. Her family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2002 and after 8:30 a.m. Friday. Prayers will be said at 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
