Edna M. Flowers, 100, of Owensboro, died Thursday, October 09, 2003, at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 11, 1903, in Daviess County, to Lyman and Mary Belle Patterson Pierce. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Robert W. Connor, who died in 1950, and John H. Flowers, who died in 1986. She was a member of First Christian Church, and graduated from Nursing School at Owensboro Daviess County Hospital in 1926. She was head nurse at Green River Steel for 8 years.
Survivors include one brother, Lyman E. Pierce of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 AM Saturday, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be placed at www.glennfuneralhome.com
