Edna June Duncan, 83, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born September 9, 1932 in Daviess Co. to the late F. W. and Ova Clements Wilcox. Edna was retired as a homemaker for Social Services with the State of Kentucky. She was a member of Garden Green Baptist Church and enjoyed playing bingo and bunco and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was a very strong, caring, and compassionate person always willing to help anyone she could. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Langkam, a grandson, Joey Millay, and three brothers.
Surviving are her children, Mary Patton and husband David of Masonville, Jessie Allen and wife Myra of Ashland City, TN, Anthony Duncan of Louisville, Tracy Millay and husband Bruce of Philpot, and Carol Adams (Homer Lane) of Owensboro, 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, a brother, Paul Wilcox and wife Juanita of Owensboro, two sisters, Barbara Wood of Russellville, and Carolyn Davenport and husband Dan of Masonville, and a son-in-law, John Langkam of Pennsylvania.
Services will be Noon Friday, May 20 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her son, Anthony for the care he gave his mother in these last few months. Also a special thanks to the Oncology Unit at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and to Hospice of Western Kentucky.
