She was born on October 1,1930 in Island, Kentucky to the late Frank Logan and Gladie Flener Yewell. Edna was a graduate of Utica High School. On her 18th birthday, she applied for a position with General Electric and continued working there for 42 years until retirement.

She enjoyed playing golf, was a fan of UK and Kentucky Wesleyan basketball and loved vacationing with family and friends. After retiring, Edna volunteered at the Ohio County Food Pantry and was very active in her church, Living Faith Baptist of Ohio County, until her health declined.
Along with her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her siblings Avis Moye (George), G. Voyne Yeiser (Bob), Frank E. “Doc” Yewell; nephew Alan Yewell, niece Cindy Yeiser, and former husbands Jimmy Leek and W. “Andy” Anderson.
