Edgar Lee Bartlett

Edgar Lee Bartlett, 84, of Utica, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Ohio County, KY September 1, 1932 to the late Rosel and Pearl Bozarth Bartlett. He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy, retired Vice President with the Mullen and Haynes Co. after 39 years, and was a charter member of Living Faith Baptist Church. He played basketball while in high school and the Navy, and also played baseball. He enjoyed collecting antiques and old tools, was an avid UK basketball fan, and enjoyed coon hunting and his coon dogs.

Mr. Bartlett was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Larry and Alva D. Bartlett; 1 sister, Ilene Pinkston, a granddaughter, Libby Oller.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Bartlett of Utica, KY; 2 daughters, Jan Oller and husband W.O. of Utica and Cindy Wright and husband Freddie also of Utica; a granddaughter, Angela Oller and her fiancé Daniel Carmon of Whitesville; a great grandson, Parker Mattingly; 1 brother, Billy Bartlett and wife Phyllis of Yelvington, KY; 1 sister, Jackie Pollard of Las Vegas, NV and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Noon on Friday, August 11 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Dr. James Wedding will officiate the service. Visitation will be 3-8PM Thursday and after 10AM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.
