Earle Granville Adams

Earle G. Adams, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, October 4th at Cedarhurst Assisted Living in Owensboro, Kentucky. He was born September 4th, 1937, in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Earle W. and Eddie Mae Adams.

After graduating in 1955 from Owensboro High School, he joined the Air Force and while stationed in France, he met and fell in love with a young red head lady named Genevieve Blanchot from Nogent-Sur-Seine, France.

Earle and Genevieve were married in May 1958 and returned to Owensboro, Kentucky, where they remained together until their passing. Earle was a member of First Baptist Church in Owensboro Kentucky his entire life. He was employed by Blue Cross Anthem for 30 years. During his working years, Earle was involved in community projects with the Jaycees and Kiwanis clubs of Owensboro. He was also a fifty-year Mason and member of Masonic Lodge 130. Before and during his retirement, Earle enjoyed his favorite past time of golf with his friends.

Earle is preceded in death by his wife Genevieve, sisters Joanne Weller, Doris Ranson, Joyce McDowell and survived by his sister Janice Robbins.

Earle is survived by his son Earle R. Adams, granddaughters, Olivia Adams, Serena Adams and Gabriella Adams.

The funeral service for Earle will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30th, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m.
