Earl Edward Saunders

Earl Edward Saunders, 71, of 806 E. 14th St, Owensboro, died Sunday, September 2, 2001 at the Veterans Hospital in Marion, IL. The Tell City, Ind. native was retired from Hon Furniture where he worked in Shipping. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended Sugar Grove Baptist Church and enjoyed television, watching war movies and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his son, DeWayne Saunders of Owensboro; four grandchildren; a brother Bob Saunders of Tell City; and s sister, Ruth Roberts of Owensboro.

Fuenral services are 1 P.M. Thursday, September 6, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 A.M. Thursday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Earl Saunders Memorial Fund.
