Earl Ray Jacob

Earl Ray Jacob, 64, of Owensboro, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born August 16, 1945 to the late Thomas Jefferson and Margaret Reeks Jacob in Daviess County. He retired from General Electric and was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars, going to flea markets and collecting many items. He loved to visit, and relax on the beach.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marscene Jacob on June 13, 1993, and a brother, Billy Thomas Jacob in 1991.

Survivors include his sons, Darren (Vikki) Jacob of Cleveland, TN, and Steven (Crystal) Jacob of Evansville, IN; three grandchildren, Dylan Jacob, Kenzie Davis, and Bradley Simpson; three sisters, Judy (Jimmy) Tyler, Betty Day and Ruth Lowe, all of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday and after 8:30 AM Monday at the funeral home.
