Dudley J. Miller, 67, of Philpot, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County to the late Hondy and Gladys Halouska Miller, was an insurance adjuster and arson investigator for Shelter Insurance and a member of Owensboro Christian Church. Dudley was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed farming, hunting, working on old cars, and practical jokes. He was a wonderful care giver to his dog companions and loved all animals. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Velma Shaw.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Mary Miller; children, Jey Miller (Tina) of Owensboro, Rebecca Hudson (Brad) of Owensboro, Eddy Winters (Debbie) of Ohio County, Kathy Conley (Danny) of Owensboro; Charles Winters (Kim) of Lakeland, FL, and Connie Paris of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lee Roy Shaw of Owensboro; one niece and one nephew.
Services will be 2 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday and after Noon on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Humane Society.
