Rev. Dr. Harry A. Pullen, 83, of 2600 Elwood Ct, Owensboro, died Monday, April 16, 2001, at the Owensboro Mercy Health System. A native of Louisville, he was a United Methodist Minister and member of the St John United Methodist Charge Conference. A graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College and the Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, he served churches in Middletown, Madisonville, the Owensboro Circuit, and Franklin. He had been District Superintendent of the Louisville District and was twice a delegate to the General Conference of the United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Pullen Raney in 1998.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Opal Frances Bradley Pullen; a son, Harry A. Pullen, III, of Owensboro; two grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a brother, Ed Pullen of Henderson.
Fuenral services are Wednesday, April 18, 2001 at 11 A.M. at the Glenn Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 P.M. at the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 P.M., Tuesday, April 17, 2001 and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday.
