Doyle Franklin Dukes

Doyle Dukes, 70, of Owensboro passed away Friday, August 7, 2026, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Doyle was born in Muhlenberg county on February 12, 1956, to the late Joe Franklin Dukes and Frieda Bell Dukes. When Doyle was a young child the family moved to Owensboro and then he graduated from OHS in 1974. He began his career at Pinkerton Tobacco Co, and after more than thirty years of dedicated service Doyle retired from Swedish Match.

Doyle lived a life full of laughter and he cherished the time spent with family and friends. He was a proud member of the Corvette Lovers Club of Owensboro; he enjoyed RV camping and his time as a driver for GRITS.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 29 years, Cathy Dukes; two sons, Brandon Dukes (Brittany) and Justin Dukes (Kara Robbins); four grandchildren, Kye Pearson (Destyni), Izabella Pearson, Brantley Dukes and Everly Dukes; one great grandchild, Laynee Pearson; sister, Rhonda Wells (Curtis) of Calhoun; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Doyle Dukes will be Wednesday, August 12, 2026, 10am at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 11 from 3pm until 7pm and Wednesday, August 12 from 9am until 10am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
