Major Douglas C. Fulcher, ANG, Ret, 57, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Auburn, KY on May 15, 1952, he retired from the Army National Guard in 1997 after serving 27 years and worked for Guardsmark as their accounts manager. Doug enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, was a Kentucky Colonel, was a member of the American Legion and always put the needs of others before his own. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Fulcher.
Surviving are his wife of 19 years, Nancy Arnold Fulcher; a son, Chris (Julie) Fulcher of Bowling Green; daughters, Misty (Ron) Ragan of Bowling Green and Breeana Goodman of Utica; step-daughters, Danielle Tucker (Scott Chenault) and Kimberly LaRoche (Jeff Williams) all of Pleasant Ridge; his mother, Bonnie Fulcher of Auburn, KY; grandchildren, Blake LaRoche, Drew Aud, Kiera Goodman, Ethan Fulcher, Meredith Ragan, Joshua Williams, and Jaclyn Williams; great-grandchildren, Jacalyn Williams and Presleigh Williams; brothers, Don (Laura) Fulcher of Russellville and Guy (Nancy) Fulcher of Chattanooga, a sister, Becky Hadden (Jim Richards) of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tim Roberts officiating followed by full military honors. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday and after 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
