Doug Gilmore

Doug Gilmore, Jr., 38, of Knottsville, rode through the gates of heaven, on Monday, June 9, 2008. He was born February 20, 1970, to Doug and Pat Tudor Gilmore, Sr. in Daviess County. He worked for Owensboro Grain Company, was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, and enjoyed bass fishing, riding his motorcycle, going to the lake and taking family vacations. His favorite time was being with his family.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Don Daugherty, his grandmothers, Jo Gilmore and Bobbie Cartwright, his grandfather, Shirley Tudor, great-grandparents, Les and Lalia Gilmore, Sr., great-grandmother, Mary Schroader.

Survivors include his wife, Prissy Gilmore, one son, Jake Gilmore, three daughters, Noel, Kaylee and Lalia Gilmore, all at home; his parents, Doug and Pat Gilmore, Sr. of Philpot; sisters and brother, Tyra Martin of Franklin, TN, Brad Gilmore and his wife, Belinda of Maceo, and Bridget Gilmore of Philpot; his grandfather, Les Gilmore, Jr. of Owensboro, and his grandmother, Mary Tudor of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 8:30 AM Friday morning at the funeral home.
