Dorothy Goff Wilkerson

Dorothy Goff Wilkerson, 91, of Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at her home while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.  She was born June 26, 1932 in Ohio County to the late John and Mary Atchison Goff.   Dorothy was married to Ray S. Wilkerson for 65 years and they were charter members of Calvary Temple Assembly of God.  Dorothy had a loving heart and a gift for children.  She taught Sunday School and Junior church for 40 years, was a successful entrepreneur, and ran a day care for 43 years.  She was a people person and loved her family and friends.  In her younger days, she loved making crafts.   In Dorothy’s final four years, she was blessed with a family of loving caregivers and she loved their fur baby Toby.

 In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Ray S. Wilkerson on November 27, 2015, sons-in-law, Mitchell A. Brown and Mike Wallace, a grandson, Christopher M. Brown, and two brothers and three sisters.

 Surviving are three children, Roger Wilkerson of Texas, Naomi W. O’Hearn (Kevin) of Owensboro, and Miriam Wallace of Texas; and two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

 Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, May 24, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Chris Michael officiating.  Burial will follow in Render Cemetery in Ohio County.   Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
