March 16, 1927 — February 4, 2007
Dorothy Whitmer, 79, of Owensboro, died Sunday, February 4, 2007, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born March 16, 1927 to the late George and Rose Goatee Pinkston in Daviess County. She attended First Free Will Baptist Church, was a homemaker and enjoyed fishing, cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Whitmer on February 9, 1986 and a son, Melvin Lynn Whitmer on August 3, 1998.
Survivors include her sisters, Gail Pinkston and Janie Payne, both of Reynolds Station; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Wednesday.
