Dorothy Mae Troutman, 70, of Owensboro, was taken in to God's loving arms on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on May 6, 1940 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Otis and Golda Devine Sparks. She was a homemaker and member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She loved animals of all types, flower gardening, Nascar racing, watching wrestling, and cooking. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie "Pete" Troutman in September of 1983, a sister, Wanda Carrico, and a brother, Jimmy Sparks.
Surviving are seven daughters, Cindy Dockery and husband Tony of Owensboro, Charlotte Jewell of Lexington, Anna Daoust and husband Richard of Wake Forest, N.C., Becky Carrico of Savannah, GA, Debbie Thurman and husband Booney of Owensboro, Lisa Mulligan of Owensboro, and Vicki Troutman of Owensboro, 18 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a sister, Shirley Husk of Maceo.
A Memorial service will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 10 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be after 5:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
