Dorothy J. Spalding, 80, of Owensboro passed away on March 2, 2012 at the Owensboro Place.
Dorothy was born on December 1, 1931 in Butler Co., KY to the late Floyd Proctor and Mille Brown Proctor, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul "Leonard" Spalding on April 16, 2003.
Mrs. Spalding retired from G.E. after 40 years of service, she was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Bremen, KY, but attended Bellevue Baptist Church in Owensboro, she was a member of the American Legion and Ladies Auxillary, VFW, and was a KY Colonel, her interest varied she liked to travel, quilt, sew, and go fishing.
Dorothy is survived by three sisters, Eula McIntyre, Lucy Hamilton, Ann Martin all of Owensboro and one brother, James Carlus Proctor of Greenfield, IN. several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at noon Tuesday in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. Greg Faulls officiating with entombment to follow in the mausoleum at the Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday March 5, 2012 and from 10:00 AM until service time on Tuesday.
