Dorothy "Dot" Williams Raley

Dorothy "Dot" Williams Raley, 79, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2016 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born April 6, 1936 in Daviess Co., to the late Alfred and Loeva Justice Williams. Dot was a Licensed Practical Nurse having worked at Owensboro-Daviess Co. Hospital and for Dr. Wendell Gilbert. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church since 1970. She loved helping others and was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and especially the Thanksgiving holiday where she loved having family and friends over for dinner. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Williams and Emma Cecil.

Dot is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth Raley, two sons, Paul Raley and wife Loretta of Atlanta, GA and Tony Raley and wife Lisa of Louisville, a daughter, Kim Riney and husband Dan of Owensboro, six grandchildren, Kenneth, Nathan, and Sean Raley, Katie Travis, Aaron Raley, and Abbie Riney, a great granddaughter, Halle Raley, two sisters, Loretta Williams and Wanda Ferguson, both of Owensboro, a brother, Kenneth Williams of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral Liturgy will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, March 24, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday with prayers at 7:00 P.M. and from 8:30-9:30 A.M. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
