Dorothy Marie Quinn

Dorothy Marie Quinn, 63, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born January 16, 1944 to John and Cecilia Payne Schartung in Daviess County. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church and enjoyed working with crafts, cross stitching, antiques, dumpster diving, fishing and helping at the Daniel Pitino Center. She loved being with her family, friends and especially her grandchildren. She had worked as an Orthodontist Assistant for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon C. Quinn in 2002, her brothers, Michael Schartung in 2004, and William Schartung in 2007 and her father, John Schartung in 1991.

Survivors include her sons, Jason Quinn and his wife, April of Owensboro, Clint Quinn and his wife, Niki of Whitesville; five grandchildren, Jessica Clark, Hunter Abel, Dustin, Camille and Kailey Quinn; her mother, Cecilia Schartung of Owensboro; five brothers, Tom Schartung and his wife, Joan of Bristol, TN, Robert Schartung and his wife, Dorothy, and John Schartung, all of Owensboro, Bernard Schartung and his wife, Janet, of Philpot, David Schartung of Ashburn, VA; four sisters, JoAnn Millay, Mary Jo Haynes and her husband, Bob, of Owensboro, Barbara Hoskins and her husband, Bob of Fordsville and Pat Lucht and her husband, Larry of Apopka, FL; sister-in-laws, Janet Schartung and Ava Schartung, both of Owensboro; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Monday, with prayers at 6:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home.
