Dorothy Marie Poole

Dorothy Marie Poole, 86, of Calhoun, died on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Riverside Manor. She was born in Daviess County to the late David and Mary Burdette Chambers.

Dorothy was a dedicated homemaker who attended Utica Baptist Church. In her early years she worked at General Electric for several years. Dorothy enjoyed fishing with her husband and spending time with family. She will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Edward Poole; a sister, Martha Whitaker; and a brother, Charles Chambers.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Sandy Redfern of Calhoun and Linda Taylor of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Josh Bennett, Randall Redfern, Melissa Taylor Hosmer, Chuck Taylor, Kara Parker and Sarah Ray; twelve great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 12 Noon on Tuesday, August 12 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
Pastor Kenneth Taylor will officiate. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday from 3-8 PM and on Tuesday after 10 AM at the funeral home.
