Dorothy J. Murphy

Dorothy Dot Murphy, 51, of 5056 Popular Log Bridge Road, Philpot, died Sunday, August 20, 2006, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born June 10, 1955 to Edward and Imogene Lambert Tendle in Hancock County. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, a homemaker and enjoyed camping, fishing and being outdoors. She especially loved her grandchildren and being with all of her family, and her dog, Fred.

She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Tindle and a brother, John Tindle

Survivors include her husband of thirteen years, John; her daughters, Rhonda Towery of Owensboro, Shannon Sutherlin and her husband, Chuck of Owensboro, Karrie Fredrick and her husband, Mike of Bloomington, IN; six grandchildren, Raven Murphy, Codi Devins, Eric and Sammy Jo Sutherlin, Hayley and Mikey Fredrick; mother, Imogene Grant of Owensboro, brother, Eddie Tindle of Owensboro; sisters, Judy Boarman of Owensboro and Karen Morris and her husband, Danny of Roberts, KY.

Services will be 2:30 PM Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 2:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
