Dorothy Jean Moure

Dorothy Jean Potts Moure, 76, of 3639 Placid Place West, Owensboro, died Thursday, December 9, 2004, at her home. She was born January 8, 1928, to the late Earl and Margaret Mehling Potts in Daviess County. She worked in the Daviess County Circuit Court Clerks office in the Drivers License Renewal Office. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, and was an avid bird lover. She valued education and Gods role in our lives. She loved classical music and attending concerts. She treasured her family and friends, and saw the humor in everday life. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Capt. Reinardo Pat Moure, USAF, who died September 14, 1962, and by a daughter, Diana Jean Moure in May of 1951.

Survivors include one daughter, Marianne Jones and her husband, Ray, of Owensboro. She has four grandchildren: Matthew Jones of Louisville, Stephen Jones who is serving in the United States Navy and Jennifer Jones and Timothy Jones of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery on December 27, 2004, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home, with prayers at 5:30 PM Friday. Friends may call after 9:00 AM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
