Dorothy Morris Maxwell

Dorothy Morris Maxwell, 87, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. She was born August 31, 1928 in McLean County to the late Virgil and Minnie Tucker Morris. Dorothy was a faithful homemaker and excellent cook who always worked hard and helped around the farm.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her brother, James "J.V." Morris.

Survivors include her loving husband of 67 years, Billy Duff Maxwell; son, Billy Maxwell Jr. of Owensboro; daughters, Marilyn Hamilton of Owensboro, Judith Maxwell of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, Cathy Head (Jeff) of Albany, Georgia; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Bros. Harold Harness and Eugene Howard will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 pm Friday and from 9:00 am Saturday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Beech Grove.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association and Hospice of Western Kentucky. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
