Dorothy V. Johnson

Dorothy V. Johnson, 94, of Owensboro, died Friday, October 27, 2006, at the Carmel Home. She was born September 27, 1912 to the late Helm and Catherine Marsch Fullenwider in Daviess County. She was a member of Immaculate Catholic Church, loved writing letters and was a New York Yankee baseball fan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis S. Johnson on December 31, 1993, a daughter, Frances Theresa Johnson on March 17, 1993 and a brother, Helm Fullenwider in 2003.

Survivors include her sons, Roy M. Johnson and his wife, Linda of Atlanta, GA, Hugh L, Johnson and his wife, Mary Jo of Philpot, Mark A. Johnson and his wife, Joanne of Frankfort; her daughters, Martha Ann Johnson and her husband, Jim Shufflebarger of Louisville, Helen V. Blandford and her husband, Tom of Kansas City, KS; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bill Fullenwider and Ford Fullenwider, both of Lewisport, Miller Fullenwider of Yelvington and Paul Fullenwider of Maceo; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday at Immaculate Catholic Church with burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 7:00 PM. Visitation Monday will be after 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Brescia University, 717 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
