Dorothy McVey Jayne

Dorothy M. Jayne, 82, of Owensboro passed away Monday, August 22, 2005, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Handley, WV, to the late Herbert and Sally Margaret Evans McVey. She had attended First Presbyterian Church, retired from the Pall Corporation where she had been a secretary; she enjoyed reading, traveling and visiting her family. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jere Corkran in 1946 and by her second husband, Alvin Jayne, in 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Patrick Corkran and his wife Lorraine of Owensboro and David Jayne and his wife Cathy of Glen Head, NY; one sister, Joyce Baker of Euless, TX; and four grandsons, Jeremy Corkran of Louisville, Shaun Corkran of Baltimore, MD, David Jayne of New York, NY and Michael Jayne of Glen Head, NY.

Services will be held on Wednesday, August 24 at 6 p.m. in the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Setauket Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Setauket, NY.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund.
