Dorothy Marie Hardesty

April 7, 1933 — January 10, 2004

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Hardesty, 70, of Owensboro, died Saturday, January 10, 2004, at her residence. She was born April 7, 1933 in Daviess County at St. Lawrence, KY. She was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella, a life time member of T.O.P.S., and a volunteer at the Help Office. She loved photography, music, traveling, and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald A. Hardesty, who died January 12, 2001, and a grandson, Patrick Shively, who died April 2, 2001.

Survivors include, three sons, Richard Hardesty of Evansville, IN, Randall Hardesty of Madisonville, and Ronald Hardesty of Owensboro, three daughters, Brenda Shively of Kansas City, KS, Linda Appleby of Westminster, MD, and Debbie Karr of Falls Church, VA, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four brothers, Don, James E., and Alan Hamilton, all of Owensboro, and Ken Hamilton of Pleasant Ridge, five sisters, Betty Johnson of Hawesville, Jane Lanham, Shirl Snyder, Joan Cecil, and Jeanette Dillingham, all of Owensboro.

Services will be Noon Wednesday, at Blessed Mother Catholic Church, with burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, and after 9:00 AM at Glenn Funeral Home, where parish prayers will be at 6:00 PM Tuesday, and Daughters of Isabella prayers will be Tuesday.
