Dorothy Jean Fulkerson Foster

Dorothy Jean Fulkerson Foster, 86, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born June 6, 1930 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late J.S. and Mayme Alice Dunn Fulkerson.
Dorothy retired from General Electric after thirty-six years of service. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church who enjoyed her cats, scrapbooking, antiquing and traveling.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Thomas Beverly Foster in 2009; a sister, Ernestine Anderson; and a brother, Layfeatte Fulkerson.
She is survived by sons, Thomas M. "Tom" Foster and his wife Rosemary of Owensboro and Tony M. Foster and his wife Carla of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, David Foster of Pelham, AL and Mike Foster and his wife Sara of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews.
The service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 16 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Rev. Eddie Duke will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM and Tuesday after 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
