Dorothy Ann Fleischmann, 76, of Owensboro passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home. Mrs. Fleischmann was born May 28, 1940 in Daviess County to the late Aubrey and Elizabeth "Peggy" Clark Tromly. She graduated from Owensboro Catholic High School and worked at the GE plant and then as an Assistant Manager for Park Regency. As a devout Catholic, Dorothy was a communion minister and received the Sophia Award last year. She loved to bowl, play golf, and games (both cards and board games) as well as travel to the Smokies. Most of all, Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Fleischmann was preceded in death by two brothers, Clark Tromly in 1970 and David Tromly in 2016.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 58 years, Gene Fleischmann; sons, Eugene Fleischmann and wife Marcella of Richmond, Texas, Randall Fleischmann and wife Maria Goretti of Columbus, Ohio, Kevin Fleischmann and wife Margaret of Huntsville, Alabama; nine grandchildren, Lacey Helmke, Ryan, Amy, Kyle, Erin, Karl, Sara, Paul, and Maggie Fleischmann; three great grandchildren; brother, Tommy Tromly; sisters, Susan Jones and husband Randall, Mary Lynn Maglinger and husband Danny, and Julie Wheatley.
The service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 16 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Ray Goetz officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00 till 7:00 PM with prayers at 6:00 and Thursday from 9:00 AM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
