Dorothy M. Estes

Dorothy M. Estes, 91, of Owensboro, died Thursday, March 29, 2007, at Wellington Parc. She was born October 1, 1915 to the late John B. and Winnie Foley Smith in Russell County. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, she enjoyed WMU, giving to missions, reading books with the Pierian Club, and painting with oil and water colors. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing for her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Allen Estes on September 10, 1995; and a sister, Agnes Beane in 2005.

Survivors include her daughters, Jill Dantic of Owensboro and Patricia Podlipec and her husband, Frank of Hendersonville, NC; five grandchildren, Mark Podlipec and his wife, Therese of Shrewsbury, MA, John Podlipec of Carboro, NC, Tamara Boling and her husband, Drew, Leah Dantic, Andrea Crabtree and her husband, Tim, all of Owensboro; five great-grandchildren, Nicole and Brooke Podlipec of Shrewsbury, MA, Lily Boling of Owensboro, Coleman and Connor Crabtree of Owensboro.

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Monday and after 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
