Dorotha Lee Spain, 80, of Owensboro, died Sunday, October 31, 2004, in Carrollton, TX. She was born September 20, 1924, to the late Charlie and Delores Sandefur Moss in Daviess County. She was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church, worked at General Electric for 18 years and helped her husband manage Greyhound Bus Station in Bluefield, WV until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Welvin O. Spain, who died in 1999, her son, Bobby Dale Spain, who died in 1994, one granddaughter, Leslie Upchurch, who died in 1998 and one brother, Herbert Moss, who died in 1975.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye McCarrell of Carrollton, TX; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; one brother, Tommy Moss of Daytona Beach, FL; two sisters, Mina Smith and Patty Wilhoite, both of Owensboro.
Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday, and after 12:00 noon Thursday, at the funeral home.
